A shares: The Shanghai index closed at 3235.59 points, down 0.33%, with a turnover of 328.7 billion yuan. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 11,746.92 points, down 0.86%, with a turnover of 456 billion yuan. The ChiNext Index closed at 2,523.01 points, down 1.86%, with a turnover of 143.7 billion yuan.

Gold: Gold futures for December delivery on COMEX closed down 0.4% at $1,720.20 an ounce.

Crude oil: WTI October crude oil futures closed up $1.60, or 1.95%, at $83.54 a barrel. Brent crude oil futures for November ended up $1.15, or 1.30%, at $89.15 a barrel.

ETF: S&P 500 SPY closed up 0.65%, Nasdaq 100 QQQ closed up 0.52%, gold GLD closed down 0.6%, gold mine GDX closed up 0.16%, silver SLV closed up 0.18%, U.S. crude oil fund USO closed up 0.7%, China technology ETF - Guggenheim CQQQ closed down 1.9%.
